Anna Jo & The Ugly Bug Ball

It's Friday, and not yet the end of term for my gorgeous little girl. They are, however, having a LOT of fun before breaking up on Tuesday!

Anna had been invited by Madame Butterfly to the Year 1 Ugly Bug Ball and had spent the majority of this week designing and making her bumble bee hat (complete with antennae) and icing ladybird biscuits...and the day was finally here...

...she came home filled to the brim with nectar (orange squash) and beetle juice (blackcurrant) and full of stories about musical bumps and "jelly with worms(!) in".

I love my girl.

And I love her school.

Congratulations on an awesome school report, Boo! You're a star and a budding scientist ;-)

And now it's time to check my kit, polish lenses and charge batteries in preparation for Ali and nick's Big Day tomorrow...

Candice & Karl's Wonderful Wedding

As I prepare for Jane and Lee's wedding tomorrow, taking place at The Priory Hotel, I have just enough time to show a few pictures from Candice and Karl's fabulous day at Clehonger and Lyde Arundel, Herefordshire...

The weather was perfect, the locations idyllic and the happy couple just plain fabulous! It was a beautiful day spent with lovely people- I love my job!

Ali & Nick's 'Loved Up' pre-wedding shoot...

Tuesday was spent in the company of Ali and Nick, whose wedding I shall be photographing on the 17th July. Their 'Loved Up' shoot was a chance to strut their modelling stuff- and get to know their photographer better!

After being told just how uncomfortable Nick would be in front of the camera, I braced myself for some awkwardness...but what a great surprise- Nick and Ali were so relaxed with me, laughing, joking and enjoying the banter that only a truly well-matched couple can have!

The idyllic location of Flanesford Priory did a lot to get creativity flowing, and with the church of St Michael and All Angels, Walford, as the ceremony venue I am absolutely sure their wedding day is going to be utterly gorgeous.

Photo appears on CoffeeNumber1 blog!

A picture from the delightful Jo & Justin's wedding day (which I was fortunate enough to photograph) featured on the www.coffee1.co.uk website! Their uber-cool festival tent was part of the fabulous garden party held at Jo's parent's home. The garden was stunningly arrayed with wicker and ivory furniture and boasted a luxury BBQ, wheel barrows overflowing with chilled wine, barrels of beer AND an ice cream van! What an absolute joy! A heart-felt 'thank you' to you all for the most wonderful day...

"Congratulations – and Cappuccinos – to the Happy Couple!

Coffee #1’s festival tent made a rare outing at the wedding of Justin and Jo Humphreys…
Complimentary cappuccinos were the icing on the cake at the couple’s special day!

There was a rare outing for Coffee#1’s festival tent last weekend at the wedding of Justin and Jo Humphreys.

With a couple of Coffee#1 baristas on hand, complimentary cappuccinos provided the icing on the cake at the couple’s special day in Hereford.

Many congratulations to the happy couple and well done on a fantastic day.

Thanks to All Seeing Eye for letting us use the image."

All Seeing Eye's first photography blog!

Here it is...

...my FIRST blog!

More of a test, really, but I shall be updating regularly with news from my Hereford-based studio.

My name is Jay Watson, and I'm a professional photographer living and working in glorious Herefordshire. I live with my beautiful little girl, Anna Josephine, and my adorable Staffie, Jazz. We're a happy little crew, and I shall be keeping you up to date with life both at home in the wilds of rural Herefordshire and in the city of Hereford.

All Seeing Eye creates wonderful images for both social and commercial clients! I'm deep into the wedding 'season' at present, but portrait sessions are coming in thick and fast, too.

My style is always changing, and although I may be viewed as a bit of an 'old timer' in the photography game (I've been sweating it out for more than 15 years!), I still take time to check out what's going on out there and am particularly taken with the lovely Emma Case, Featherlove Photography and Julia Boggio. All fabulous photographers, and yes, all women! There is something ethereal about female photography, a softer touch, which I just LOVE. I still have my male faves too, such as the awesome Rankin and rather wonderful Steve Gerrard. There are so many fantastic photographers out there I could whitter on all day, but I shan't!

I shall be adding more to my blog spot and telling you more about life in my world as time goes by, so keep an eye out!
